Hearts unblocked: play Hearts online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
Hearts brings the classic four-player trick-taking card game straight to your browser, offering a calm, tactical mental workout. Rather than racing against timers or fending off sudden jump scares, you sit across a virtual felt table, carefully managing a 13-card hand against three computer opponents. The goal is simple in concept but devious in execution: avoid taking penalty cards while outsmarting your rivals across multiple hands.
Every hand challenges you to read the flow of play, count suits, and decide when to dump high cards or quietly feed penalty points to whichever opponent is leading the match. For players on FNAF Plus who need a change of pace from tense animatronic surveillance, a quiet round of cards provides a satisfying test of patience, risk assessment, and foresight.
How to play
Each round begins with 52 standard cards dealt evenly among four players. At the start of most rounds, you select three cards to pass to an opponent according to the passing rotation (left, right, across, or hold). The player holding the two of clubs opens the first trick. You must follow the led suit if you hold a matching card. If you are void in that suit, you may play any card from your hand, including high-risk penalty cards.
The highest card of the led suit wins the trick and leads the next turn. Hearts cannot be led until a player breaks hearts by discarding one on an earlier trick. When all 13 tricks conclude, scores are tallied:
- Each Heart: Worth 1 penalty point (13 total).
- Queen of Spades: Worth 13 penalty points.
- Shooting the Moon: If you capture every single Heart and the Queen of Spades in one round, your score stays at zero while every opponent receives 26 penalty points.
The match continues across consecutive deals until someone reaches 100 points. The player with the lowest score at that moment wins the game.
Strategy tips
- Pass dangerous high spades: If you are dealt the Ace or King of Spades without enough low spades to protect them, pass them away so you are not forced to win the Queen.
- Create voids early: Aim to empty your hand of a single short suit (like diamonds or clubs) during early tricks. Once void, you can safely discard heavy cards or hearts whenever that suit is led.
- Track the Queen of Spades: Watch carefully to see if the Queen has been played. Never lead high spades until the Queen is accounted for.
- Defend against moon shots: If you notice one player aggressively taking every trick and all the hearts, deliberately win a trick or sacrifice a low heart to block them from shooting the moon.

Questions about Hearts
Is Hearts unblocked at school?
Hearts runs in an ordinary browser tab from fnafplus.org, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
How do you score points and win in Hearts?
The goal is to have the fewest penalty points. Each Heart taken adds 1 point and the Queen of Spades adds 13 points. When a player hits 100 points, the lowest score wins.
What does shooting the moon mean in Hearts?
Shooting the moon happens when one player collects all 13 Hearts and the Queen of Spades in a single round. That player receives 0 points while every opponent gets 26 points.
Can you lead with a Heart on the first trick?
No. The two of clubs must lead the opening trick, and no penalty cards can be played. Hearts cannot be led until a player breaks hearts on a later trick.
Can you play Hearts on mobile devices and Chromebooks?
Yes. Hearts runs directly in your web browser using HTML5, so it works smoothly on phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and desktop computers without any installation.
